Zero Waste International Youth Meeting
Believing in the importance of the appreciation of Zero Waste and ensuring better quality of life for future generations, the Zero Waste Institute Brazil supports and commitment to adoption of projects of sustainable development and implementation of events related to the topic, as the 1st Zero Waste International Youth Meeting. The event will be held in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina – Brazil, on Octoberber 27th to 29th, 2011.
The Zero Waste Institute Brazil, in partnership with Novociclo Environmental aware of his role in betting on sustainability as one of its basic guidelines. Therefore, in addition to adopting sustainable practices, has always sought to promote greater environmental responsibility among employees, suppliers and communities where it operates, through the project “Zero Waste Program” or through the dissemination of the “Zero Waste concept”.
Objectives of the event:
- Encourage the creation of Zero Waste Clubs
- Promote and encourage discussion of ideas and concepts on the subject zero waste and sustainability among youth from different countries;
- Strengthen and disseminate zero waste practices in the world;
- Empowering students, youth representatives, civil society organizations and government organizations to find alternatives for planning and development of youth groups and Zero Waste Communities;
- Develop innovative solutions based on raising environmental awareness and minimization of waste generation and pollution of the environment;
- Present and discuss the Zero Waste Clubs and its acting lines.
