About

Who is behind euxtra?
euxtra was created by people who have experienced themselves the European mobility and who already lived many adventures around the world! We are a bunch of youngsters willing to share our own experience on European mobility, as well as the experience of all the people in the network we have developed over the years of travelling and living abroad. We enjoyed and learned from our international experience so much, that we would like others to do the same.
We realized that there are many people out there that are still unaware of the opportunities to study, work or develop abroad, so we decided to create euxtra, a platform that centralizes all the information out there and shares it in a simplified and less bureaucratic way. In addition to serving as an information centre about all the mobility programmes available in Europe, euxtra shares real experiences of people that benefited from them. Our hope is that euxtra will make it easier for those interested in an international development opportunity to set expectations about certain programmes and will encourage them to pursue some of them.
The euxtra team is composed of 3 members:
My international life started in 2007 when I went for an Erasmus experience in Finland (Laponia) during my Bachelor’s Degree in IT in Belgium. As I enjoyed living in Scandinavia, I decided to undertake a Master’s Degree in Business and Management in Sweden. I graduated in 2010 and went to London for my first internship thanks to the Leonardo da Vinci grant. In a desire to take my professional and international experience further, in 2011 I applied for European Voluntary Service. I was accepted to a project call in an association in Barcelona that organizes international work camps and intercultural exchanges. It was during my following experience abroad – a traineeship in Valencia, in my field (management of innovation), through Eurodyssée program that euxtra was born. After I received my high school diploma in Linguistics (English, Spanish and Dutch), I studied in Brussels where I completed my degree in Communication and in Advertising. During the whole duration of my studies, I managed to gain professional experience throughout different jobs in Belgium, the United Kingdom and Spain. I worked for three years in a video production company based in Brussels, before going on a traineeship through Eurodyssée programme in an audio-visual company in Valencia. In addition to several projects I’m involved in, I’m in charge of the audio-visual for euxtra.
It took one Erasmus experience in Perugia, Italy to realise that there is plenty to discover in Europe, so after completing my degree in Communications and Public Relations in Bucharest, I moved to Krakow, Poland. Initially I was there for an internship through AIESEC, but then I decided to stay longer. A series of jobs and projects allowed me to discover other cities such as Sopot, Gdynia (in Poland), Prague and Valencia. Currently I am based in Berlin where I work on developing my small consulting business. In addition to helping out to build euxtra, I work as a consultant assisting foreign companies willing to expand their business to Central and Eastern Europe.
