Youth for Europe

Youth for Europe is a sub-programme of the Youth In Action Programme.
Youth for Europe is primarily directed to young Europeans. All Youth in Action Programmes aim to develop the sense of European citizenship and the youth cooperation among its population by fostering the cultural exchange and dialogue in order to give an active role the youth citizens in the shaping of Europe.
Youth for Europe is designed to respond to the growing interest of young people, youth groups and organizations for active participation in international projects on European level.

This action is divided in 3 sub-actions:

  1. Exchange of international groups
  2. Youth initiative
  3. Youth Democracy Project

In order to participate in on of the sub-actions of the action you must find yourself within one of the following criterion:
as a promoter (organising the debate) you must be included in the following list:

  • non-profit or non-governmental organisation;
  • local, regional public body;
  • informal group of young people;
  • body active at European level in the youth field (ENGO), having member branches in at least 8 Programme Countries;
  • international governmental non-profit organisation;
  • profit-making organisation organising an event in the area of youth, sport or culture

 

Sub-action 1.1 Exchange of international groups
This sub-action gives the possibility to group of young people coming from different countries to meet and debate around a mutual theme. This way, it gives them the possibility to learn from other cultures and exchange with them.
The program is targeting youth and young workers from 13 to 30 years depending on the program (if the limit is 18 for instance, the participant must have aged 18 by the application deadline, at the opposite if the limit of age is 29 the participant must not have reached 30 before the application deadline).

Sub-action 1.2 – Youth initiative
This sub-action has been elaborated to help project on a national, regional but also local level. In order to foster the cooperation between youth of Europe, this project supports the international networking with other similar project. Indeed, projects are links among other European countries to enhance exchange and co-operation among young people of Europe.

Sub-action 1.3 – Youth Democracy Project
This sub-action supports the participation of the youth within a community. This community could be national, regional or local. The actions of the youth are directly related to the topic of democracy and the democratic life within a community but also at an international level.
