Comenius

Who: Everybody related to the education at different levels from the pre-school to the primary and secondary.

Age: Depending on the action. Pupils from 14 years old can participate in an international exchange program.

Type: Mobility of pupils and educational staff across the EU. Cooperation between 2 schools (bi-lateral project) or more.

Aim: Improve learning skills and how to learn-to-learn, learning languages, make science more attractive, reinforcing creativity and innovation, suport entrepreneurship, among others…

Placements: Every school included in the countries participating to Comenius are able to apply for a mobility project.

Duration: Between 3 and 10 months.

Requierments: The school must be in a partner country. All the countries included in the Youth in Action Programme are a part of Comenius except for Cyprus, Germany, Ireland and United Kingdom.

The school must plan itself the exchange program with the foreign partner school. Once it is done, the school must find a host family for the pupil and apply for funding at its national agency once all the parties agree on the project.

Grant: a grant will cover all the partnership expanses. Examples of projects covered: Performances, exhibitions, staff exchanges, co-operation, research…
